waggy tails & happiness
I have three furry girls. I have an amazing Golden Retriever named Abbey Lynn, a Brittany mix named Lilly and a lab puppy Pippa Marie. My furry girls are often confused with my daughters when I talk about them to other people.
I am proud to say that my golden Abbey Lynn is a registered Therapy Animal. We are a Pet Partner team and volunteer through Therapy Animals of Utah,a proud affiliate of internationally recognized Pet Partners. There is nothing so rewarding then to see the comfort this girl brings to others when we visit the hospital, youth center, or even the library so the children can read to her.
Lilly was adopted from the Humane Society of Utah in October of 2013. I believe I was her 4th or 5th home and it’s been challenging in managing the aftermath of being bounced around from home to home in her first 5 years of life. However, she is doing wonderful and is becoming more secure every day. She is now training to become a therapy dog.
Pippa Marie was born with a cleft palate and at just 10 days old and near death, was rescued by the Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation. After being saved and nursed back to health, she was taken to Penn Vet at 4 months old to have her palate repaired. After a successful surgery and a 4-6 week recovery period and not being allowed anything in my mouth but soft food (so hard for a puppy!), she’s now a very happy, healthy puppy who can enjoy life to it’s fullest. She spends her days trying to help others and bringing smiles to everyone she meets! You can follow Pippa’s shenanigans on her facebook page: Peace Love Pippa Marie.
